Providing Unmatched Public Safety
Enhanced Security with VuWall’s Centralized Video Wall Management Solution
To improve public safety across the region, a Public Interest Organization (PPO) was tasked with coordinating and centralizing security operations involving fire services, emergency responders, law enforcement, public transport, and more.
Challenge
The public safety and security coordination agency needed a unified video wall management system to visualize and control multiple video sources across a network of rooms and displays. A key challenge was integrating data from independent stakeholder networks while ensuring interoperability with their existing Genetec Video Management System, which manages all surveillance cameras.
VuWall’s ecosystem of products managed by the TRx centralized control software is precisely designed for this type of application.
Powering 11 Video Walls & 60 Displays
To meet the challenges of this regional security coordination agency, VuWall’s TRx centralized management software, along with PAK multiview decoder nodes and hundreds of VuStream 150 encoders, were deployed. This powerful ecosystem enables the encoding and distribution of content from disparate networks, and displays it seamlessly across dozens of displays in several rooms. This includes 11 8×2 video walls, 60 displays, and dozens desktop monitors throughout the coordination center. Whether powering single-monitor offices or multi-screen control rooms, the system provides dynamic, real-time content delivery and intuitive control.
Solution
The VuWall system consolidates diverse video sources—PCs, servers, network streams, and cameras—into a unified platform for display across any screen. Operators can manage content using a user-friendly graphical interface, accessible via computer or tablet, that allows for real-time control of screen layouts and video sources.
Content windows can be resized, repositioned, or prioritized on the fly, supporting operational flexibility. Role-based access allows multiple users to interact with displays independently or in dedicated zones. Using VuWall’s official Genetec plug-in, operators can control both cameras and video walls from a single application, simplifying workflows and reducing response time.
Remote access capabilities allow the system to be managed centrally—even from off-site—while supporting high-resolution output up to 8K, ensuring crystal-clear image quality.
Results
By consolidating control into a single, scalable platform, the client has significantly enhanced situational awareness, response times, and inter-agency coordination. Operators can now respond faster and more efficiently to incidents, supported by real-time data and a flexible, centralized control environment.
The system’s scalability ensures adaptability to future growth or new requirements, while its interoperability reduces infrastructure complexity and operational costs. The intuitive interface enables faster decision-making, empowering users with the information they need—when and where they need it.
