Seamless AVoIP Control to Critical Military Operations with VuWall and Parker Group
When a major Department of Defense (DoD) research, development, test, and training facility set out to modernize its aging AV infrastructure, it needed a secure, mission-critical solution to replace outdated analog and digital systems with a flexible, future-proof platform.
VuWall was selected to provide the AV-over-IP backbone for the upgrade. Leveraging the Plate-forme de gestion centralisée TRx et PAK video nodes, the facility deployed a scalable, fully IP-based AV system that simplified management, improved reliability, and enabled seamless expansion across multiple rooms.
This deployment became one of VuWall’s largest TRx and PAK projects to date, highlighting the strength, adaptability, and reliability of VuWall’s AVoIP ecosystem in a demanding defense environment.
Défi
The DoD facility encompassed multiple room types—each serving unique operational functions such as testing, training, and monitoring. A small team was responsible for managing all AV systems across these rooms, despite limited technical resources.
Before the upgrade, the facility relied on aging matrix switchers, analog-to-digital converters, and hardware-based video processors. These baseband systems posed several critical issues:
